报告简介:

It is envisioned 5G Networks will integrate diversespectrum, deployments, technologies to achieve diverse and enhanced KPIs andsupport diverse applications and services. In special, 5G networks are expectedto support data rates of 10-50 Gbps for low-mobility users, deliver anend-to-end latency of less than 5 milliseconds and over-the-air latency of lessthan one millisecond, broad coverage area, and efficient use of the spectrum byusing MIMO, advanced coding and modulation schemes and new waveform design. Thequestion is how challenge and difficult it is to achieve the expectedperformance. Can we have alternative and better approach to achieve suchperformance? In this talk, we introduce Space-Air-Ground Integrated Networks bymaking use of the advantages of different networks to achieve the performancegoal. We also present our developed Space-Air-Ground Integrated Networkssimulator for demonstration.

主讲人简介：

沈学民(Sherman Shen),加拿大滑铁卢大学首席讲座教授，加拿大皇家科学院院士，加拿大工程院院士、加拿大工程学院院士以及IEEE Fellow。沈教授长期致力于无线通信网络中的无线资源与移动性管理、媒体介入控制以及网络安全与隐私保护等理论与技术研究，特别在车载通信网络与无线体域网络等研究领域做出了原创性与系统性的工作，令其本人及其研究团队在国际上享誉盛名。沈教授自1989年起，共发表国际期刊论文536篇，会议论文及报告528篇，根据Google学术记录，其学术论文总引用次数达到41,000余次，H指数为88；沈教授担任过包括IEEE、ACM、Springer、Elsevier在内的10多个国际期刊的编辑，以及20多个期刊的客座编辑，现在担任国际顶级期刊IEEE Internet ofThings Journal、国际著名期刊IET Communications以及Peer-to-Peer Networking and Applications的主编。沈教授担任过10余次国际会议主要演讲者，40余次包括ACMMobihoc、IEEE Infocom等在内的国际顶级会议大会主席、筹划指导委员会主席、领域主席和技术委员会主席，以及50余次国际会议技术委员会成员；沈教授还担任过IEEE通信协会无线通信技术委员会副主席等职位。鉴于其杰出的学术成就，沈教授被授予滑铁卢大学电子与计算机工程系杰出表现奖（2002年）、加拿大安大略省“杰出科研贡献总理奖”（2003年）、IEEE通信协会杰出讲师奖（2009年-2010年）、IEEE车载技术协会杰出讲师奖（2011年-至今）。
